Chris Duke was educated at The Parsons School of Design, where she studied under Bernard D'Andrea, Joe Bowler and Murray Tinkelman. She also holds a graduate degree in Figurative Studies from the New York Academy of Art. One of America's premier illustrators, Chris has worked for many Fortune 500 companies including American Express, AT&T, IBM, and Adidas, as well as publications including the New York Times, People Magazine and the Wall Street Journal. Her work is in many institutions, including the George Washington museum at Mount Vernon, Virginia.

In the last years, Chris has turned to portraiture. She has painted portraits for magazine covers and private commissions, and in 2006-2007 Chris did twenty-eight portraits of champion golfers for the PGA gallery at Sawgrass in Ponte Verde, Florida. She is a member of The Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists.
