Fine paintings reflect both the artist and the subject, and the portraiture process is a collaboration between them. Chris Duke strives to capture the personality and character of her subject, to insure that for generations your painting will convey the beauty, mystery, and individuality of each person at a moment in time.
Portrait prices are based on the number of subjects, how much of each subject is
to be depicted, the size of the painting, the intricacy of clothing, jewelry and
props, and the complexity of the background setting. These sample prices assume the subject
will come to
our Connecticut studio for a reference photo session (occasionally, more than one session is required).
Travel expenses to other locations will be additional, and the use of your own photographs will
generally increase the cost.
Paintings
will be delivered framed and ready to hang.
The following cost estimates start with single figure oil portraits,
painted against simple tonal backgrounds. A final price will be provided after the work is defined.
